The eye-catching views of this once huge baroque castle and castle park, built at the turn of the century, have now become the symbol of Tóalmás, a settlement with a centuries-old history. Many may also be familiar with it from the unforgettable film “Tizedes meg a többiek (The Corporal and the Others)” filmed here in the 60s.

The highlight of our small village is the Andrássy Castle, which was once reserved for vacations and hunting. The property, also known as the SZOT children’s resort, is currently in excellent condition and can be visited year-round, except for August. The huge castle park is under nature conservation protection.
The thermal bath in Tóalmás awaits pool lovers all year round with swimming and adventure pools, medicinal water and seasonal sports facilities (small-sided football pitch and volleyball court).
The approximately 1.6-hectare area of the facility is beautifully grassed and landscaped, and the added advantage is that it is only a 10-minute walk from our guesthouse.
The beautiful artificial lake creates a friendly, close-to-nature feeling in the angler. Its fish population is mainly carp. The main shoreline has been made comfortable and family-friendly with covered pavilions and fire pits.
The back water area is wild and romantic, dotted with dense vegetation and reed islands, which are home to thousands of life forms.
The modern, high-quality, five-pool bath complex, located 15 km away, including an indoor bath and a stand bath, is an ideal choice for families with small children, those wishing to recover, and those who enjoy beach sports.
Its high-salt thermal water combines the effects of the medicinal waters of Bükkszék, Parád, Balf, Zalakaros and Hajdúszoboszló.
There is no restaurant in Tóalmás, but you can visit the surrounding villages if you want to experience authentic, culinary delights. If you don’t want to leave, you can also order from these places to your home. However, there are two pastry shops in the village within a 1 km radius, a short walk from the guesthouse, Galéria Cafeteria and Anita Confectionery, both are great places, you should definitely visit one of them during your stay.
You don’t have to travel far from Budapest if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city and discover a quiet, peaceful place.
Our guesthouse is located at the foot of the Gödöllő Hills, easily accessible by car and train.
